With over 25 years of experience, she specializes in designing orthoses of all types, including pediatric training in gait evaluation and scoliosis bracing. The company is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC), which has been credentialing practitioners since 1948. A Step Forward prides itself on working within multidisciplinary teams to determine the best treatment options available. The company specializes in custom work and fabricates almost all devices on-site, allowing for faster turn-around times and easier adjustments. Individual needs are taken into account during the evaluation process to ensure the best device is fabricated. Various materials such as carbon, kevlar, titanium, plastics, foams, and leather are used in the fabrication of prostheses and orthoses, incorporating the latest components from prosthetic technology.
