Backstory Books & Yarn

Backstory Books & Yarn offers trade credit for most of the common books we buy. Our specialties include Textiles/Fashion, Nautical, Black history and literature, Women, and Collectible Illustrators. We pay cash for extraordinary books and yarn, as well as books in high demand. We are currently looking for these kinds of books in good condition: folklore, science-fiction, fantasy, astrology, witchcraft, radical politics and labor, plant identification guides, crochet books, natural dyeing, horror, and generally we prefer books by women. Backstory started in the Foster-Powell neighborhood in Portland. I am the owner, but the shop is really an amalgam of its readers, supporters, crafters, and friends.
