The brand was established in 2003 when Crown Memorial Center opened in Tualatin as a subsidiary of Cascade Funeral Directors, Inc., which itself was founded in 1993. All three locations operate as arrangement centers — storefronts where families meet with staff to plan cremation and burial arrangements — rather than traditional funeral homes with chapels or on-site service facilities. Each Crown Cremation Services location serves families in its own community, with staff handling arrangements directly at that office.
