Growing healthy communities through planting and caring for trees and natural areas. Together. Friends of Trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution: Planting Trees. Together. Since 1989 Friends of Trees has planted 1 Million trees and native shrubs in neighborhoods and natural areas in six counties across two states. We’ve done this by bringing together over 75,000 community members, and while implementing and growing programming that aims to do this work inclusively and equitably. It is widely acknowledged that planting trees is a key part of a comprehensive climate strategy. It is our experience at Friends of Trees that planting trees with community members is also key to fighting climate change.
