Mirisata was founded in summer of 2020 as a COVID-era takeout-only pop-up before opening a restaurant in October of the same year. The restaurant has expanded to include dine-in service and cocktails, striving to present an authentic Sri Lankan experience while adhering to a vegan ethos. As Oregon’s first Sri Lankan restaurant, we are honored to have been voted Best South Asian Restaurant in the Willamette Week’s Best of Portland 2025. Our worker-owners, structured as a cooperative, bring family traditions and recipes to the kitchen, creating a collaborative dining experience. Our menu features a variety of daily specials and signature dishes, all crafted with care and bursting with flavor. We aim to provide a unique culinary experience that reflects the rich traditions of Sri Lankan cuisine, while ensuring that our offerings are accessible to everyone, including those with dietary restrictions.
